Are you trying to deploy your app on an SharePoint 2013 on premise or on demand? Is the SharePoint site using the site template "developer site"?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem as draxtor. After pressing 'F5,' Visual Studio starts installtion of the applilcation. After 12 minutes of something like below in the Visual Studio Output pane, an error message is returned: "Error occurred in deployment step 'Install App for SharePoint': Failed to install App for SharePoint."

2> Installation is in progress (00:00:00)

2> Installation is in progress (00:00:01)

2> Installation is in progress (00:00:02)

2> Installation is in progress (00:00:03)

...

2> Installation is in progress (00:12:00)

2> Installation is in progress (00:12:01)

2> Installation is in progress (00:12:02)

2> App failed to install, cleaning up...

did you have any problems creating provider-host app? I can't deploy it successfully. All I got is some generic error "Error occurred in deployment step 'Install App for SharePoint': Failed to install App for SharePoint". Sharepoint hosted apps works fine in my environment.
